SAFARI is the vision of late Mr. S. H. Mehta who in 1974, with a fund of goodwill, rare courage, strong will and dedicated approach founded Safari Industries to manufacture plastic molded luggage. 
Known as an innovator in the luggage industry, Safari has many firsts to its credit viz. (a) Fiber glass suitcases & briefcases (b) ABS luggage   (c) Pilfer proof 6 lever locking system (d) Recessed wheeling system (e) A one year guarantee.

Manufacturing Facility: -
Safari’s manufacturing unit for moulded luggage is located at Halol (Dist. Panchmahal) which is around 45 kms. from the city of Baroda - Gujarat. It has an installed capacity to manufacture over 90,000 pieces of molded luggage per month. Soft luggage is out-sourced.

In more than 3 decades of existence, Safari is one of the leading National brands of luggage; It has a manpower strength of about 1000 employees who operate through 20 branch offices with the necessary infrastructure of sales, service and back-end operations in place.
It has in its portfolio both moulded and soft luggage. It is present in the popular segment as well as the economy segments with its products being sold through a network of over 1500 retailers (Both direct as well as indirect), it has 40 exclusive brand outlets / franchisees showrooms.
Safari luggage is sold through some of the well known hyper markets.
